In Japan, the HP is stated as "HP 100". In the US, it's "100 HP". Some US cards, however, kept the original Japanese format (for some odd reason). Some of those cards include Caterpie, Metapod, and Vulpix.

Metapod and Caterpie's HP were fixed after 1st Edition. Vulpix on the other hand still kept it's "HP 50" format, even in 3rd Edition and Base Set 2!
