| GYM HEROES "DECK" CARDS-WHY ARE THEY RARE?!?!? |

| That's the big question in a town in New Jersey, A group of 3-5 boys went up to a local card store to celebrate and buy packs of the new Gym Heroes Pokemon Set, but what came out of the packs were shocking rares, and I don't mean holo's. Zubat's, Goldeen's, Rhyhorn's, and Tentacool's, YES-Tentacool's. Why? The answer is pretty simple, and yet stupid at the same time. These cards as well as couple of others, could only be found in Japanese Gym Theme Decks, and did not have a rarity symbol. Because of this, Wizards of the Coast had probably decided that these Deck-only cards were "special" and should be rare cards in the American set, which has grown from around 100 cards, to 132 cards, and if you're wondering why there is 1 Basic Energy Card in each pack, the answer is simple, the Base Set will soon be out of print, and not everyone started when the cards came into stock. |
