Team Rocket Info
Prepare for trouble! And make it
double! It's the third expansion to come out of
Japan!
So really... what is Team
Rocket? Here are the facts:
Release Date: April
24th, 2000 (WotC always releases a set on
Mondays). Toys R' Us got a super special deal, they
released Team Rocket two days earlier than normal.
Other Goodies:
WotC's first American made card was released in Team
Rocket. And surprize!, it's Dark Raichu. Although it was
English first, it wasn't totally 100% American made (like
almost every product made these days). The art was drawn
by Mitsuhiro Arita, a Pokémon TCG staff artist.
But the upside to that is that the picture was made
especially for the card, and was not of one that was just
floating around. Coolness, none the less!
As for the Pokémon in
the set, they will be labled as "Dark" Pokémon,
not the stupid sounding "Bad" or the offensive "Evil".
Besides, Pokémon aren't evil by nature, their
trainers just make them do evil things.
(^_^) Symbol: The symbol
for Team Rocket is an R thing: What else do I have for you? I've

Set Size: The
set was originally 66 cards big in Japan. WotC did the
Holo/Non-Holo deal again, which brought the set up to 82
cards. There was also a super secret "Dark Raichu" card
released in TR, which brings the set to 83 cards, however
the "official" set size is still 82.
One rumor (which was
started on this site) said that TR was going to be
released on January 8th... [more
